Mler ife Dada was an art oriented pop/rock band, leaded by Nuno Rebelo (first playing bass and later electric guitar) and featuring several musicians during its existence. Starting with singer Pedro d'Orey, they got quite famous with the excentric singing of Anabela Duarte. They recorded several singles for independent labels and later for PolyGram (LPs Coisas que fascinam and Espírito Invisível). Their work was about ecletism, about trying out as many musical languages as possible within a pop /rock context. When the press asked how would they define their music, they used to answer: as ethno-rock-electro-jazz-pop with an avant-garde touch :)
